Vertex of Hope Initiative (VOHI), in collaboration with IVESS, participated in the mapping exercise of Almajiri and out-of-school children in Kanbi Community, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State Between 27th June to 11th July, 2025.
The exercise was conducted under the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education (NCAOOSCE) programme, sponsored by the Federal Government of Nigeria, as part of efforts to identify, document, and better understand the population and educational needs of children who are currently outside the formal education system.
During the exercise, the team engaged with community members and relevant stakeholders to identify children within the community who fall within the target population. The mapping exercise provided an opportunity to gather essential information that can support evidence-based planning, targeted interventions, and improved access to education and other essential services.
Through continued collaboration with government institutions, development partners, community leaders, and other stakeholders, VOHI remains committed to contributing to initiatives that promote inclusive education, child development, and improved opportunities for vulnerable children and communities.
